Sound Scouts gives clinicians (including speech pathologists, primary health care and allied health practitioners) a structured, evidence-based hearing screening tool and a dedicated portal to review results — without replacing the referral pathway to audiology.

Identifying the underlying cause of hearing loss supports recommended next steps when a result is outside normal range. The Triple Factor Hearing Screener can guide an appropriate referral pathway.
Clinical workflow
The Triple Factor Hearing Screener is completed at home or in the waiting room, independent of the clinician. The Automatic Audiometer (AA) provides a pure tone test to assess levels of loss. The AA is available on touchscreen Apple devices for use with a range of specified headphones. On a connected device results are available immediately.
Log in to the SSIMPL Platform to access the Clinical Portal to view response tracks, component scores, and result reliability before deciding on referral (see registration details below).
