Why did the player receive a Borderline result?
What a Borderline result means and what to do next.
A Borderline result can occur for several reasons:
- If the test was carried out correctly in a quiet place with no distractions and the person being tested was paying attention - the result may indicate a mild hearing issue.
- Background noise during testing can make it difficult to hear the target sounds causing a Borderline result.
It is recommended the person is retested after 24 hours (or after a break if circumstances do not permit testing on another day) and within one week of the original test. Ensure you are in a quiet environment, with minimal distractions and that you are using good quality adult headphones or earbuds/pods. If the results are similar further investigation is recommended.
NOTE: One credit allows you to test an individual up to four times.
